WILLIAM J. SPRATT SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

JUNE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

The Board of Directors again this year has authorized four scholarships in memory of William J. Spratt for secondary school graduates of the Class of 2010.

This spring marks the twenty fourth year that the credit union has sponsored a scholarship program.  The grand scholarship will remain at $1,000; however, the credit union will also sponsor three others in the amount of $500 each.  All four scholarships are open to members of the credit union and their immediate families (children and/or grandchildren) who are Class of 2010 graduating secondary school seniors.

The credit union is pleased to fund the scholarship offerings in the memory of Mr. William J. Spratt, a founding member who served as Vice-President of the Board of Directors since the inception of the credit union in February 1962 until his untimely death in 1986.

Those interested in receiving an application should write to the William J. Spratt Scholarship Committee , c/o PCT Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 189, W. Wareham, MA 02576, or email requests to:  scholarships@pctfcu.org  (No telephone calls, please!)

The completed application must be returned to the credit union office on or before April 9, 2010 .

ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE TO WAREHAM RESIDENTS

Membership in the PCT Federal Credit Union now includes the entire Wareham community. As another way to serve our Wareham members, the Board of Directors offers an additional $500.00 scholarship. To be eligible for this scholarship (Otis Severance Scholarship), the applicant must be a resident of the Town of Wareham , a member of the credit union, or child/grandchild of a member and a June 2010 secondary school graduate.

The credit union will use the original Spratt Scholarship application form also for this scholarship.  All residents of Wareham need only to apply once and their application will be considered for all five credit union scholarships.

Applications are due on or before Friday April 9, 2010. Forms for students currently enrolled at Wareham HS are available in the Wareham High School guidance office. ALL OTHERS may receive applications by writing to the Scholarship Committee, c/o PCT Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 189, W. Wareham, MA 02576 or e-mailing the credit union at scholarships@pctfcu.org  (No telephone calls please.)
